Moon
Moon review
Moon is a fun, quick-playing game that I've enjoyed quite a bit. It's got a simple, familiar "pick and pass" drafting system, but it's got a nice twist that makes it a bit more interesting. Instead of just picking and passing the cards, each hand has an "Expedition" card that lets you take a special free action every turn. This adds a little bit of strategy to the game and makes it more engaging.
The game is divided into three distinct eras, and each era focuses on a different aspect of your lunar base. You'll need to build housing, transportation, science, industry, and food production to be successful. At the end of each era, the player with the most of each type of building gets bonus points, which makes it even more important to pay attention to what everyone else is doing.
I also like the wooden lunar rover tokens. They add a worker placement element to the game and are used to break ties, which adds a bit of tension to the game. I've found myself being careful about how I use them, as they can be quite valuable.
Overall, Moon is a good game that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys "pick and pass" drafting games. It's not the most strategic game, but it's a lot of fun and a great way to pass an evening with friends.
