Rolling Heights
Rolling Heights review
Rolling Heights is a fun, engaging game that I'd recommend to anyone looking for a strategy game with a little luck thrown in. The core gameplay is simple enough to grasp quickly, but there's enough depth to keep you coming back for more. You roll meeples to gain resources and build buildings, aiming to score points by completing those structures. The game is lighthearted and enjoyable, with a focus on building your own city rather than directly competing with other players.
The game's components are good quality, with the exception of the building cubes. These cubes, while visually appealing, don't stick together very well, which can lead to some frustrating moments when structures collapse. This is a significant issue, especially with the larger buildings that require multiple stacks of cubes.
Despite this issue, the game is still enjoyable. It's a good option for families or groups of friends who like engine-building games with a bit of luck. The setup can be a bit time-consuming with all the components, but it's worth it for the fun you'll have playing. I'd suggest investing in some organizers to help with storage and setup.
