Skyrise is a delightful surprise! I was initially drawn to it for its stunning visual design, but the gameplay is just as engaging. The spatial auction system is a clever twist on a familiar mechanic, demanding strategic planning and careful resource management. Each game feels different, with the varying setup and scoring goals keeping things fresh.

I particularly appreciate the balance Skyrise strikes. It's light enough for casual gamers, offering quick setup and straightforward rules, but with enough strategic depth to keep experienced players interested. The game encourages thoughtful decisions and player interaction, making it a joy to play with friends or family.

I've played it at different player counts and found it consistently enjoyable, though four players seem to create the most engaging dynamic. While I haven't played Metropolys, Skyrise stands on its own as a delightful, unique experience. If you're looking for a game with beautiful components, intriguing mechanics, and plenty of replayability, Skyrise is a fantastic choice!
