Empire's End review

I recently picked up Empire's End and I have to say, it's a fun and engaging game. The "reverse-bidding" mechanic, where you're essentially bidding *against* taking a disaster, is really unique and adds a lot of tension to the game. It's definitely not your typical engine-building game, and the constant threat of disaster keeps you on your toes.

I agree with another reviewer that the game doesn't quite live up to the hype some others have given it. While it's certainly a good game, it doesn't feel quite as innovative or groundbreaking as some of the other reviews I read. However, I do think it's a great addition to my collection and a solid game for those looking for something different. The ability to adapt to challenges, build your empire, and outmaneuver your opponents keeps the game fresh and interesting.

If you're a fan of engine-building and enjoy the challenge of navigating a delicate balance between risk and reward, Empire's End is worth checking out. It's not a revolutionary game, but it's definitely a fun and engaging one.
