The Red Dragon Inn: Battle for Greyport
The Red Dragon Inn: Battle for Greyport review
I've been a fan of the Red Dragon Inn series for a while now, and when I saw that they released a cooperative deck-building game set in the same world, I knew I had to check it out. The Red Dragon Inn: Battle for Greyport does not disappoint.
The game itself is quite fun. It’s a cooperative deck-building game where you and your fellow adventurers defend the city of Greyport from monsters. You travel to different locations around the city, battling enemies and recruiting heroes. Each encounter gives you the opportunity to improve your deck, but it also brings more dangerous foes to face.
I found the game to be a bit complex to learn at first, but once I got the hang of it, I really enjoyed it. There are a lot of different strategies you can use, and the game is very replayable with its five playable characters, seven different scenarios, and an assortment of variants. I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys cooperative deck-building games.
However, I did find the game to be a little difficult, even on the easier settings. I’ve played with two players and four players and the game can be quite overwhelming, especially if you’re not familiar with deck-building games. The game is advertised as being for 2-4 players, but I think it would be better suited for 3-4 players. Overall, this game is a fun and engaging experience with lots of replayability, so I definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys cooperative deck-building games.
