Heroes of Terrinoth review

Heroes of Terrinoth is a cooperative card game that I've really enjoyed. It's a great game for those who enjoy dungeon crawlers and cooperative games, but it's also easy to pick up and learn. The game features 12 unique heroes, split into four archetypes: healer, warrior, mage, and scout. Each archetype has three different heroes to choose from, so you'll have a lot of variety in your gameplay. The game is quick to set up and easy to learn. The rules are simple and straightforward, making it perfect for a quick game night.

The game is set in the world of Terrinoth, which is the same setting as Fantasy Flight Games' other popular games like Descent and Runebound. This means that you'll be familiar with the world and its lore if you've played any of those games. It's nice to see them use the same setting, and it adds to the game's immersion. The game's artwork is also beautiful, and it really helps to bring the world of Terrinoth to life. The game is a good balance of difficulty, and it's challenging enough to keep you engaged, but not so challenging that it becomes frustrating.

I do wish that it had a campaign mode as many have noted in their reviews, but I do think it has enough replayability that this is a minor nitpick. It does have eight quests, and the different hero classes and upgrades give it plenty of variety and replayability. Some of the reviews have noted that it can feel overwhelming, but I found that the game is easy to pick up even with less experienced players and the rules are clearly explained in the rulebook.

Overall, I highly recommend Heroes of Terrinoth. It's a fun, engaging, and easy-to-learn game that's perfect for a night of gaming with friends. I'm looking forward to seeing what Fantasy Flight does with this game in the future, and I'm hoping they release some expansions.
