Tsuro
Tsuro review
Tsuro is a game I bought after seeing it on Wil Wheaton's "Tabletop" show. It immediately caught my attention with its simple premise and beautiful design. It's all about laying tiles and moving your token along the paths created, and it's surprisingly strategic despite its easy rules. You can't plan too far ahead, because your opponents' moves will constantly change the board, leading to exciting twists and turns. I particularly enjoy playing with 4 players, as the interaction and potential for unexpected connections make it really engaging. It's a perfect game for a quick break between longer games, or for when you're waiting for everyone to arrive.
The game is beautifully produced with high-quality tiles and a sturdy board. The "dragon" pieces are made of plastic, which was a bit of a disappointment, but they are still perfectly fine. One minor gripe is the lack of a frame for the tiles, which can sometimes slide around on the board. But overall, the presentation is fantastic.
I have to say, Tsuro is one of those games that just makes you smile. It's quick, it's elegant, and it's just plain fun. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a simple but satisfying board game experience.
