Lanterns: The Harvest Festival
Lanterns: The Harvest Festival review
I recently picked up "Lanterns: The Harvest Festival" and I've been really enjoying it! The premise is simple: collect lantern cards to form sets and trade them for points. But the strategy involved in placing tiles to acquire the right colors and deny your opponents is surprisingly deep.
One thing I really like is how quick the game is to learn and play. You can easily get a game in within 30 minutes, which is perfect for a casual game night. The game scales well, too, and I've enjoyed playing with both two and four players. It's not too cutthroat, so it's good for a mix of competitive and casual players.
The art style is gorgeous, with vibrant colors and a calming theme. The components are solid, though the cards are a bit flimsy. I'm thinking about sleeving them for longer play.
Overall, I'd highly recommend "Lanterns: The Harvest Festival." It's a great game for all ages and skill levels, offering a balance of strategy and ease of play. It's become a regular in my game collection, and I'm always happy to pull it out for a quick and engaging session.
