Sushi Go!
Sushi Go! review
Sushi Go! is a charming little card game that's quickly become a favorite in our family. The concept is simple: you're drafting sushi cards, trying to collect the best combinations to score points. It's a "draft and pass" game, similar to 7 Wonders, but distilled into a quick, twenty-minute experience.
What I love about Sushi Go! is how easy it is to learn and play. Even my youngest, who's just starting to learn about board games, picked it up quickly. There are some clever scoring combinations that add a bit of strategy, but the core rules are straightforward.
The artwork is adorable, with cute little sushi illustrations on every card. The game comes in a metal tin, which makes it perfect for taking on the go. While the theme isn't deeply immersive, it's lighthearted and fun, making it a great choice for a family game night or a casual get-together with friends.
However, I do have a few minor gripes. Some reviewers have mentioned that the card stock could be better, but I haven't had any problems with mine. The real issue is the tin itself. It's cute, but it's not very sturdy and can be easily dented. I'd recommend getting a separate storage box if you plan on taking it places.
Overall, I highly recommend Sushi Go! It's a fun, fast-paced game that's perfect for all ages. It's a great choice if you're looking for a quick, casual game that's easy to learn and doesn't require a lot of setup or explanation.
