Star Wars Villainous: Power of the Dark Side

I'm a big fan of the original Villainous board game, so when I saw this Star Wars Villainous: Power of the Dark Side expansion, I knew I had to get it. I've always loved the Star Wars universe, and the chance to play as some of my favorite villains was too good to pass up.

The game mechanics are basically the same as the original Villainous, but with some new twists that really make it feel like Star Wars. For example, there are now starships that you can play on your board, and each villain has their own unique "ambition" power. I especially enjoyed the addition of the "ambition" mechanic, which added another layer of strategy to the game.

The components are really well-made, with beautiful artwork on the cards and sturdy boards. The character pieces are also very detailed and look great on the table. While I've seen some other reviewers complain about the quality of the pieces, especially the white flecks on some of them, I personally didn't have any issues with them. I think they look fine.

My only real complaint is that this version of Villainous is not compatible with the original Disney Villainous game. That being said, I really hope they release some expansions for this game in the future, as I'd love to see more Star Wars villains added to the game.

Overall, I highly recommend Star Wars Villainous: Power of the Dark Side to any fans of the Villainous board game or the Star Wars universe. It's a fun, engaging, and thematic game that's sure to provide hours of entertainment.
