Disney Villainous: Bigger and Badder
Disney Villainous: Bigger and Badder review
I've been a fan of the Disney Villainous series for a while now, and I was excited to get my hands on the Bigger and Badder expansion. I've always enjoyed the unique gameplay, where you take on the role of a Disney villain and try to achieve their nefarious goals.
This expansion features three new villains: Syndrome from The Incredibles, Lotso from Toy Story 3, and Madam Mim from The Sword in the Stone. Each villain has their own unique win condition and playstyle, which adds a lot of variety to the game.
I really enjoyed the challenges presented by each of the new villains. Syndrome's reliance on condition cards and his complex win condition is a challenge for even experienced Villainous players. Lotso's gameplay, focused on reducing heroes' strength and moving them to the Toddler's room, is quite unique. And Madam Mim's wizard duel against Merlin is a classic Disney-inspired game mechanic that's a lot of fun.
The expansion also introduces a new "Strength" mechanism, which adds a layer of complexity to the game. While this can be a bit intimidating for new players, it's a welcome addition for those who want a more challenging experience.
Overall, I think Bigger and Badder is a great addition to the Disney Villainous series. It features three fun new villains, each with their own unique playstyle, and introduces a new gameplay mechanic that adds a layer of complexity. If you're a fan of the Villainous series, I highly recommend picking up this expansion.
