Nekojima
Nekojima review
Nekojima is a delightful game that has quickly become a favorite in our household. The concept of building a precarious network of electrical poles while avoiding the playful interference of feline residents is both charming and engaging. The wooden components are beautifully crafted and feel substantial in hand, adding to the tactile enjoyment of the game.
What truly sets Nekojima apart is its versatility. We love the cooperative mode, where we all work together to build the tallest tower possible. It's a thrilling challenge that requires careful planning and a bit of luck! The competitive mode is also a lot of fun, although it can be a little frustrating when you're the one who topples the tower. But even then, the laughter always outweighs the disappointment.
The game is also incredibly accessible. My kids, ages 5 and 8, can easily grasp the rules and play with us, while the dexterity aspect of the game provides a challenge for even the most experienced players. Setup is quick and easy, making it perfect for a casual game after dinner or a more extended family gathering. Overall, I highly recommend Nekojima to anyone looking for a fun, engaging, and beautifully crafted board game for all ages.
