Forest Shuffle
Forest Shuffle review
Forest Shuffle is a charming little game that I've been enjoying a lot lately. It's a set collection game where players compete to create the most ecologically balanced forest habitat. I really appreciate the game's beautiful art and the sturdy quality of the cards. It's definitely a visually appealing game.
The gameplay is engaging and requires some thought and strategy. The rules are easy to learn and the game plays quickly, even with five players. I like that there are multiple viable strategies for winning, so each game can feel different. I also appreciate that the game is very affordable, which is always a bonus.
One of the things I've found a little challenging is that to play competitively, you need to be familiar with all the cards in the deck. This can be daunting for new players, but it's something that gets easier with experience. I also find that the scoring can be a bit fiddly, and sometimes I worry that I've missed something. But overall, I really enjoy the game and think it's a great addition to my collection.
One thing I have noticed is that some people have received copies of the game that appear to have been previously opened and resealed. Apparently, the publisher opted for a more eco-friendly approach by not sealing the game in plastic. This has caused some confusion, but it seems like it's a legitimate thing. If you are concerned about this, it's worth checking the condition of the box before you purchase it.
Overall, I highly recommend Forest Shuffle. It's a great game for families, casual gamers, and anyone who enjoys a quick and engaging set collection experience.
