Planet Unknown
Planet Unknown review
Planet Unknown is a fantastic game that offers a unique take on the polyomino genre. The game is fast-paced and engaging, with simultaneous turns thanks to the cleverly designed Lazy S.U.S.A.N. space station. This makes for a really smooth gameplay experience with minimal downtime, even with a full table of 6 players.
I love the variety of planets and corporations, each with their own unique abilities and goals. This adds a ton of replayability, as each game feels different. I also enjoy the rover mechanic, which adds another layer of strategy to the game. I highly recommend Planet Unknown to anyone looking for a strategic game that is easy to learn but difficult to master.
One thing I found interesting was the way the asymmetric corporations and planets can slow down gameplay as players try to figure out the best strategies. While I appreciate the depth this adds, it's something to keep in mind if you're looking for a purely fast-paced game. Overall though, Planet Unknown is a well-designed and engaging game that I highly recommend.
