My City review

I've been wanting to try a legacy game for a while now, and My City seemed like the perfect place to start. It's a competitive game where you build your own city, starting from its early pre-industrial stages and moving through industrialization. Each game is a new "episode", and your choices and actions in each one impact the next. This means that the game is constantly evolving, and no two playthroughs are the same.

I was initially a little intimidated by the length of the game (24 episodes!), but it turns out that each episode only takes about 15-20 minutes. The game itself is also surprisingly easy to learn, even though it has a lot of depth to it. The rules are simple and well-explained, and you don't need to learn everything at once, which is great for new players.

The game is very strategic, and you have to think about how to place your buildings to maximize your score. There are also some fun bonus points for grouping buildings together by color. I really enjoyed the challenge of trying to outsmart my opponents and come up with the best strategy.

The legacy aspect of the game is definitely a big draw, and it really adds to the replayability. I love that the game changes over time, and I can't wait to see what new challenges await me in the next episode. If you're looking for a fun, strategic legacy game that you can enjoy with friends and family, My City is definitely worth checking out.
