Exit: The Game – The Mysterious Museum
Exit: The Game – The Mysterious Museum review
I recently picked up Exit: The Game – The Mysterious Museum after seeing great reviews for the Exit series. As a casual gamer, I enjoy board games with my family and solo adventures. The description promised a beginner-level experience, and I was eager to try my hand at a table-top escape room game.
The setup was smooth and intuitive, even for a first-timer like me. The instructions were clear and prevented any accidental spoilers, and the components were well-made. We had everything we needed to dive right in. I really appreciated how everything was neatly organized and the quality felt great for the price.
The puzzles were, however, surprisingly challenging! It took us almost two hours, and we still didn't manage to solve everything. We found ourselves hitting a wall with the later riddles, and had to use a few clues to get back on track. While it was frustrating at times, it was also a lot of fun to brainstorm and think outside the box. We experienced those classic "aha!" moments, only to realize we were still off track, which added to the excitement. It definitely stretched my mental muscles.
Although it was quite difficult, we did have a lot of fun. It was a great bonding experience, and I definitely recommend it to those who enjoy a good challenge. The game's replayability is limited, but it feels like a more immersive and engaging experience than simply watching a movie. For the price, it's a fantastic way to try out the escape room concept at home. I'm definitely buying more Exit games soon!
