I've been a big fan of the Exit games for a while now, and this Advent Calendar didn't disappoint. It's a clever way to enjoy a 24-day puzzle-solving experience, using the box itself in creative ways to hide clues and challenge you. The puzzles themselves are a nice mix, some easier, some more challenging.

I found it especially fun that I had to solve the puzzles to figure out which door to open next. It keeps you engaged and wanting more, but also prevents you from getting ahead of yourself. A couple of the puzzles felt slightly ambiguous, but for the most part, they were well-designed and satisfying to solve.

The hint book is definitely a valuable resource, but I recommend using it sparingly. It's more rewarding to figure things out on your own, and the solutions tend to reveal themselves eventually. I'll definitely be picking up another one of these calendars for next December – it really added a special element to my Christmas!
