Caylus 1303 review

Caylus 1303 is a fantastic game, especially for anyone new to worker placement. It takes the classic formula of the original Caylus and streamlines it into a more elegant and accessible package. While the original is a great game, Caylus 1303 feels like it's been modernized for a contemporary audience, offering a shorter and more intense experience without sacrificing the depth and ease of play that made the original so beloved. I was particularly impressed with the variability of the starting position, making each game feel fresh and exciting. The new characters with special abilities add another layer of strategy and depth, and the brand-new graphics are absolutely stunning.

I've played a lot of worker placement games, including Stone Age, Architects of the West Kingdom, and Paladins, but Caylus 1303 has quickly become my favorite. It's engaging, strategic, and has a surprising amount of replayability. I highly recommend this game to anyone looking for a challenging and rewarding experience. Even if you've never played the original Caylus, you'll appreciate the streamlined mechanics and intuitive design of this new version.

I'm happy to report that the quality of the game is top-notch. The box, instructions, board, and components are all beautifully made and well-designed. I'm also a huge fan of the game's organization system – it's a great feature that makes setup and cleanup a breeze. If you're looking for a game with beautiful presentation and a smooth gameplay experience, Caylus 1303 is a great choice.

While the game itself is excellent, I have to mention that I've heard some reports of missing pieces. That's obviously a big issue, and I can understand the frustration of buying a brand new game that isn't complete. However, I haven't personally experienced this problem, and I hope it's not a widespread issue.
