Carpe Diem
Carpe Diem review
Carpe Diem is a game that really grew on me. I've only played it a few times, but I've really enjoyed it so far. It has a lot of replayability, and each game feels different because of the way the scoring cards are set up. I appreciate that there are so many different ways to get points, and it's really fun to see how everything comes together at the end of the game. It's a great game for people who enjoy strategic games with a lot of depth. However, it can be a little overwhelming for new players, especially if they're not familiar with Euro-style games. One thing that I found a little frustrating was the setup and takedown. It takes a few minutes to sort out the tiles and the components, but the game is so much fun that it's worth the extra effort. The artwork is a bit outdated, but the mechanics are perfect. I'd recommend this game to anyone who likes tile placement games or is looking for a fun game with a lot of replayability. I especially appreciate that the game is language-independent. Overall, I'm very happy with this game and would definitely recommend it to others.
