AquaSphere review

AquaSphere is a complex strategic game where you lead a team of scientists and engineers to explore the depths of the ocean. The game board is beautifully designed and features a variety of different sectors for you to explore. The components are top-notch, with well-made wooden pieces and colorful artwork. The game itself is challenging and requires a lot of planning and strategic thinking.

I enjoyed the game's unique programming mechanic, where you can choose from three different actions to program your robots for each round. The decisions you make in this phase can have a significant impact on the outcome of the game, which I found very engaging. The game also features a "time" element, where you have to carefully manage your resources and make sure you have enough time to complete all of your actions.

The game is not for everyone, however. It has a steep learning curve and can be quite overwhelming for new players. The rulebook is also a bit complex and can be difficult to understand at first. If you're looking for a light, quick game, then AquaSphere is not for you. But if you enjoy heavy, strategic games with lots of depth and replayability, then I highly recommend it.

Overall, I enjoyed my time playing AquaSphere. It's a challenging and rewarding game that will keep you engaged from start to finish. If you're a fan of Stefan Feld's other designs, then you'll definitely want to check this one out.
