Alhambra review

Alhambra is a game that I’ve enjoyed playing for years. I was excited to get the revised edition because of the updated visuals, the scoreboard, and the tile tower. It’s a great game for people who enjoy strategy games, but it's also easy enough for new players to learn. The game is quick to play, and there’s a good balance of luck and strategy. I also like that a player can focus on their own build, or can try to mess with others’.

The only thing I would say is that the quality of the paper cards (money cards) isn’t great. But overall, it’s a great game that I would recommend to anyone. I've even played it with my 8-year-old brother, although he got bored at the middle of the game, definitely is a more adult game. The instructions come in multiple languages, except spanish; you better know English, german or french; although you always can look for an online tutorial.

If you like the Ticket to Ride games and Istanbul, you'll like this game. The game play seems deceptively simple, but is really quite strategic.
