Zombicide: Black Plague review

Zombicide: Black Plague transports the zombie apocalypse into a medieval fantasy setting, and it's a blast! The game is well-designed and visually appealing with detailed miniatures, sturdy tiles, and great artwork. While the core rules are similar to the original Zombicide, this version has a fresh feel thanks to the new theme and mechanics. It's great to play as paladins, dwarves, knights, and magicians wielding swords, crossbows, and magic spells against the zombie hordes. The game is definitely challenging, but that's part of the fun! It's not for everyone, as the difficulty can be frustrating at times, but for those who enjoy a good fight against the undead, this game is a winner.

I'm a big fan of the character development in Zombicide: Black Plague. Each survivor has unique abilities that can be upgraded as you level up, which adds a lot of replayability. The zombie spawn system is also a lot of fun, keeping you on your toes as you never know what kind of undead you'll encounter next. The game's components are top-notch, particularly the miniatures. They are incredibly detailed, and the different zombie types are really well-sculpted. The game board tiles are also of high quality, and the plastic character trays are a nice touch.

The game can be a bit overwhelming for new players as there are a lot of rules and components to learn. I found the rulebook to be very helpful, but it does take some time to fully understand everything. One of the things I really appreciate about this game is the cooperative gameplay. It's truly a team effort, and you have to work together to succeed. I've played with groups of two to six people, and it's been fun at every player count.

If you are a fan of zombie games, cooperative board games, or miniatures, then Zombicide: Black Plague is definitely worth checking out. It's a challenging and rewarding game that's sure to provide hours of fun.
