Smash Up review

Smash Up is a card game that has quickly become a favorite in my gaming group. It's a simple concept, but there's a surprising amount of depth and strategy involved. You pick two factions, shuffle their decks together, and then battle for control of bases. Each faction has a unique playstyle, and there are tons of interesting combinations to try.

I love the variety of factions. You have everything from Zombies and Dinosaurs to Pirates and Aliens. I've played with just about every combination, and I've never had the same game twice. It's always fun to see which factions work well together and which ones are just plain silly.

The game is easy to learn but can take some time to master. You can pick it up quickly, but there are a lot of different cards and abilities to learn. It's also a game where you can get really competitive, especially with the right group of people. However, even if you're not a hardcore gamer, you can still have a lot of fun with Smash Up. It's a great game for casual players too.

I have to admit that some factions are definitely stronger than others. Zombies and Robots, in particular, can be pretty dominant. This can be a little frustrating, but it's not a deal breaker for me. I still find the game incredibly fun, and I'm always willing to try new strategies and combinations to see if I can beat the Zombies and Robots.

Overall, I highly recommend Smash Up. It's a fun, strategic, and replayable card game that I think anyone can enjoy. I've already bought a few expansions, and I can't wait to try out all of the new factions.
