The Resistance
The Resistance review
I've been playing The Resistance for a while now and it's become a staple at my game nights. It's incredibly easy to learn - you're either a Resistance operative or an Imperial Spy, and you're trying to complete or sabotage missions, respectively. The core of the game is the social deduction, where you have to figure out who's lying and who's telling the truth. It's a lot of fun to get everyone talking and accusing each other!
I love the fact that there's no player elimination, so everyone gets to play the whole game. It's also really scalable, so it works well with groups of 5-10 players. We've played it with everything in between and it's always been a blast. The game is also pretty quick, taking about 30 minutes on average.
The only thing I would say is that it can be a bit difficult to explain the rules to new players. Once they get the hang of it, though, they're usually hooked. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone looking for a fun, quick, and social party game.
