Welcome to the Dungeon
Welcome to the Dungeon review
I recently picked up Welcome to the Dungeon and I'm having a blast with it. It's a super simple and fast-paced game, perfect for quick sessions with friends. The art is fantastic, with bright and vibrant colors and a cartoonish style that really pops. The components are top-notch too, with high-quality card stock and punchboard pieces that feel durable.
The gameplay is a push-your-luck, dungeon-delving experience that's easy to learn but has a surprising amount of depth. You take turns either adding monsters to the dungeon or removing equipment, making it a game of bluffing and strategic decision-making. It's fun trying to read your opponents and gauge their risk tolerance. The gameplay is quick, usually wrapping up in 10-15 minutes, making it perfect for a quick game or when you don't have a lot of time.
One thing I found interesting is that the game encourages player elimination. This isn't always a bad thing, but I understand that some people find it frustrating. For me, it adds a bit of tension and makes the game feel more strategic, as you have to be careful not to get yourself eliminated.
Overall, I'm really enjoying Welcome to the Dungeon. It's a fun, quick, and easy-to-learn game with a great art style and high-quality components. If you're looking for a game to play with friends or family, give Welcome to the Dungeon a try.
