Jamaica
Jamaica review
Jamaica is a pirate-themed racing game that is a lot of fun, especially with a group of four or more players. The game has a simple premise: race your ship around the island of Jamaica, collecting gold and treasure along the way. However, the game is anything but simple in terms of its strategic depth. You need to carefully manage your resources, make strategic decisions about when to move forward and when to collect goods, and of course, you need to be prepared for battle. The game is full of exciting moments, particularly the battles. The combat mechanics are simple and easy to learn, and you can easily recover from a defeat, which makes the game exciting and fast-paced.
The game does have a few downsides, though. First, the rules can be a bit confusing at first, so you'll likely need to read them carefully and possibly even watch a tutorial video to get started. Second, the game really shines with a larger player count (at least 4 players) and can feel a bit less exciting with only two players.
Overall, Jamaica is a great game that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys a quick and exciting game with a pirate theme. The game is well-made, with high-quality components and art, and it offers a good balance of strategy and luck. I would say it's a great addition to any game collection.
