Small World Underground
Small World Underground review
Small World Underground is a great standalone game that offers a fresh take on the classic Small World formula. I've been a fan of the original game for years and was eager to see what this new version had to offer. The game features 15 new fantasy races and 21 special powers, as well as a new subterranean map. The new races and powers add a lot of variety to the game, and the new map is a nice change of pace from the original.
One of the things I really appreciate about Small World Underground is that it can be played as a standalone game or combined with other Small World releases. I've played it both ways, and I find it to be equally enjoyable. The publisher recommends that players be familiar with Small World before playing Small World Underground, and I would agree. The game is a little more complex than the original, but the core gameplay is still the same.
One thing I have noticed is that some people find the new races and powers to be a bit overwhelming at first. If you're a new player, I would recommend sticking to the original game for a while before venturing into Small World Underground. But once you've gotten the hang of the basics, I think you'll find it to be a lot of fun.
Overall, I'm really happy with Small World Underground. It's a great addition to the Small World family and I highly recommend it to fans of the original game.
