Demon Worker review

Demon Worker is a deceptively simple worker placement game with a surprising amount of strategic depth. The core concept is straightforward: you send demons to different locations to collect resources, which you then use to summon more demons and gain "impulse points." The demon with the most impulse points at the end of the game wins.

What sets Demon Worker apart is the sheer variety of strategies you can employ. There's a huge pool of cards representing different demons, each with unique abilities and synergies. This leads to a lot of replayability, as you're constantly trying out new combinations and experimenting with different approaches.

My group has really enjoyed the strategic interplay between players, with each turn offering opportunities to disrupt your opponents' plans or capitalize on their weaknesses. While the game has a minimum player count of 3, we've found that it plays well with 2 players as long as you're willing to teach the new player as you go.

The only minor critique I have is that with four players, the resource tokens can feel a bit limited. This can lead to some tense competition for resources, but it also adds another layer of strategy. It's something to keep in mind, and I wouldn't mind seeing a slight increase in the number of resources in future editions.

Overall, Demon Worker is a fantastic game for anyone who enjoys worker placement games with a high level of strategy and replayability. It's easy to learn but difficult to master, and I highly recommend it for any game night.
