Awkward Guests: The Walton Case
Awkward Guests: The Walton Case review
Awkward Guests, a.k.a. Incómodos Invitados, is a deduction game that truly lives up to its name: "Awkward." Not in a bad way, mind you, but more like an "awkwardly good" way. I'm a big fan of deduction games and was looking for something a little more challenging than Clue. Awkward Guests definitely delivers on that front.
The gameplay itself is simple: you trade cards with other players to gather clues about the murder of Mr. Walton. You're trying to figure out who, how, and why he was killed (and sometimes, if there was an accomplice). The game requires a lot of strategy and deduction as you decide what information to trade and what to keep secret. It's a lot of fun to try to outsmart your opponents and be the first to solve the mystery.
One of the things I love about Awkward Guests is the replayability. There are thousands of different case combinations that you can play. You can download an app to find more cases if you run out of the 30 included in the box. The setup can be a bit tedious as you have to choose the cards for each case, but it's worth it for the fun gameplay.
I would recommend this game to anyone who loves deduction games. It's a fun, challenging, and engaging experience. Just be prepared for some "awkward" moments as you try to decipher the clues and solve the case!
