Forgotten Waters
Forgotten Waters review
Forgotten Waters is a lighthearted pirate adventure game that I found to be surprisingly engaging. The game is set in a silly, magical world where players take on the roles of pirates and embark on a quest to further their own personal stories as well as a common goal. I was immediately drawn to the game's vibrant world and humorous writing, which made for a fun and enjoyable experience. The game's cooperative nature encourages players to work together, but there is also the opportunity for a bit of backstabbing, which I found to be a fun addition. Each playthrough is different, even when playing the same story, thanks to the randomized events and character choices. The app is the real star of the show, with its ambient sounds, sound effects, and well-done voice-overs that add a layer of immersion to the game. I'm not typically a fan of app-based games, but the app in this game is so well done that it actually enhances the experience. While some reviewers found the game to be too easy or too long, I found the length of the game to be just right. The game is engaging enough that I didn't mind the time commitment, and the save option was a welcome feature, allowing me to pause the game and continue playing later. Overall, I highly recommend Forgotten Waters to anyone looking for a fun and engaging cooperative storytelling game.
