Too Many Bones
Too Many Bones review
Too Many Bones is a unique dice-building RPG that takes a fresh approach to the genre. The game's fantasy setting and 100+ unique skill dice make for a strategic and engaging experience. You'll be choosing from one of the 4-7 classes and then embarking on an 8-12 battle campaign, where every battle presents its own challenge. The game features cooperative and solo play, allowing you to team up with friends or go it alone.
The game's system is surprisingly simple, even with the added complexity of character abilities and the strategic decisions involved. Each battle is a test of skill, strategy, and a little bit of luck. The game's dice-based combat makes every turn a gamble, and the ability to build up your character throughout the campaign adds depth to the gameplay. The game is very charitable, and even if you are eliminated in a battle, it doesn't mean you're out of the game. You can still rest and heal, and continue to contribute to the campaign.
However, Too Many Bones is not for the faint of heart. A full campaign can take 3-4 hours, and the game's dice mechanic can be unforgiving at times. But if you're looking for a challenging and rewarding dice-based RPG, then Too Many Bones is definitely worth checking out. I highly recommend purchasing the game directly from the publisher, Chip Theory Games, as it is significantly cheaper than buying it from other retailers.
