Star Wars: Legion
Star Wars: Legion review
Star Wars: Legion is a fantastic miniatures game that has quickly become a favorite of mine. I've always been a fan of the Star Wars universe and the idea of commanding your own army on the ground in the Galactic Civil War is incredibly appealing. The core set provides a great starting point, offering a solid selection of miniatures for both the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire.
The miniatures themselves are beautifully sculpted and detailed, and they are a joy to paint. I particularly enjoyed assembling and painting the speeder bikes and AT-RTs. The plastic is durable and easy to work with, and the models are surprisingly well-made for their price point.
While I haven't played a full game yet, the rules seem relatively easy to learn and understand. The command card system adds a nice layer of strategy and tactical depth to the game, making it feel much more dynamic than other miniatures games I've played.
One potential drawback is that the core set doesn't include everything you need to play a full game. You'll need to purchase additional dice and expansion packs if you want to fully flesh out your army and explore the game's full potential. However, for the price, you're still getting a lot of value for your money.
Overall, I highly recommend Star Wars: Legion to any fan of the Star Wars universe or miniatures gaming. It's a well-designed, engaging game that offers a ton of replayability. If you're looking for a fun and challenging tabletop experience, this is a game you should definitely check out.
