Paladins of the West Kingdom
Paladins of the West Kingdom review
Paladins of the West Kingdom is a fantastic, complex, and engaging worker placement game that I've really enjoyed playing. I'm a big fan of engine building games, and this one really nails the feeling of slowly building up your power and influence over the course of the game. The game's art is fantastic, the components are high quality, and the gameplay is very satisfying.
The game can feel a little overwhelming at first, with a lot of different systems and actions to learn. But once you get the hang of it, the game really flows. The choices you make in each round feel impactful, and there's a lot of room for strategy and optimization. I also really enjoy the fact that the game isn't completely cutthroat. There's a lot of room for players to cooperate and work together, which makes for a more enjoyable experience.
I've played Paladins of the West Kingdom with both two and three players, and it's been a blast each time. I think it's a great choice for anyone looking for a deep, engaging, and strategic board game that will challenge you and keep you entertained.
One thing I will say is that the game does take up a lot of table space, especially with more than two players. So, you'll want to make sure you have a big enough table before you dive in.
Overall, I highly recommend Paladins of the West Kingdom. It's a great game that I think anyone who enjoys engine building games will love.
