Overboss: A Boss Monster Adventure
Overboss: A Boss Monster Adventure review
Overboss is a fun and engaging tile-laying game that I've really been enjoying. It's a little bit like Cascadia with a Boss Monster twist, and I've found that it really scratches that "pick a set" itch. The artwork is charming, and the game itself is well-made. I've found it to be a good balance of randomness and strategy, and it's quick to learn but has a good amount of depth to keep me coming back for more.
The game is easy to learn and I've enjoyed playing it with my family and friends. The rules are straight-forward and the game plays quickly, making it a great choice for a game night. The "boss card" expansion is a bit unevenly balanced, but the core game is plenty of fun on its own.
I've also been impressed with the quality of the components. The tiles are thick and sturdy, and the art is really well done. The storage tray is also a nice touch, keeping everything organized and easy to put away.
Overall, I'm very happy with Overboss. It's a fun, strategic, and engaging game that I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new tile-laying game to add to their collection.
