Marvel Dice Masters: Uncanny X-Men

I've been wanting to get into Dice Masters for a while now, and the Marvel Dice Masters: Uncanny X-Men starter set seemed like a great place to start. The game itself is pretty fun – it's a fast-paced, strategic battle using dice with special abilities, and I really enjoy the "purchase dice" mechanic. The starter set is actually pretty generous for the price, giving you a good number of characters to experiment with, along with basic action cards and sidekick dice. The rules were a bit confusing at first, but after a couple of games, it all clicked. The art on the dice and cards is great, but I do agree with other reviewers that the included dice bags are pretty flimsy. I plan on picking up some sturdier ones soon, but for the price point, it's understandable.

I'm a little concerned about the collectible aspect of the game. While I enjoy the starter set, I know that to truly get the most out of it, I'll need to purchase booster packs to expand my collection. This is a common issue with collectible games, and while I'm excited to try out some of the other characters, I'm worried about the potential for spending too much money. That being said, I'm still really enjoying the game and would definitely recommend it to any fan of dice games or Marvel comics.
