DC Comics Dice Masters: Justice League review

I was really excited to get this starter set for Dice Masters: Justice League. I've been a huge DC fan since I was a kid, and I've always loved the idea of a dice-based game featuring these characters. I've also enjoyed other Dice Masters sets, so I had high hopes for this one.

The first thing I noticed is that the starter set is perfect for getting two players into the game. I like that it features popular characters like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Zatanna, as well as some less familiar ones, like Martian Manhunter. The gameplay is really fun, and it's definitely more strategic than I expected. It's not as simple as just rolling dice and seeing who has the highest number.

The starter set comes with everything you need to play, including the dice, character cards, action cards, and a rulebook. I did find that the rulebook was a bit confusing at first, but after reading through it a couple of times, I started to understand the game. It's definitely a game that requires some learning, but once you understand the basics, it's pretty easy to pick up.

I was a little disappointed that it didn't come with a playmat, even a simple paper one. The one in the booklet was unusable. That said, I found that it was easy enough to play without one.

Overall, I really enjoy this set and I think it's a great way to introduce people to Dice Masters. I can't wait to collect more characters and see how the game develops.
