Mandala Stones
Mandala Stones review
Mandala Stones is a colorful and engaging game that took a little bit of time to grasp the rules, but once we did, we had a blast! It's a strategic game, where you're trying to collect stones in towers and then score them in clever ways. I found myself constantly trying to figure out the best way to maximize my points, and the scoring system is quite interesting.
The game's setup is simple enough, with stacks of colorful stones and artists that you move around the board. The main mechanic is collecting stones based on their patterns and colors, which adds a bit of spatial reasoning to the mix. You can either build your own towers or score points by removing stones from your towers.
The scoring mechanism is where Mandala Stones really shines. There are different ways to score depending on the color, height, and number of stones in your towers, adding a lot of replayability.
I also really appreciated the central mandala, which you build up by placing removed stones. It adds another layer of scoring and brings a satisfying sense of completion to the game.
While the rules may take a few rounds to fully understand, I found the game itself to be quick and enjoyable. Overall, Mandala Stones is a great choice for anyone looking for a colorful, strategic, and engaging board game.
