Kingdomino Origins review

Kingdomino Origins takes the classic Kingdomino formula and adds a prehistoric twist! I was initially hesitant, thinking it might be a simple rehash of the original, but I was pleasantly surprised. The introduction of fire and volcanoes adds a new dimension to the gameplay, encouraging strategic placement and resource management. I especially enjoyed the three different game modes, offering enough variety to keep things interesting. The cavemen tokens add a unique scoring mechanic that adds an extra layer of complexity.

The components are generally well-made, though I do agree with some reviewers that the cardboard dominoes feel a bit flimsy. I'm hoping they hold up to repeated play. The design is beautiful, with vibrant colors and detailed artwork that truly brings the prehistoric theme to life. The only real drawback is the lack of Spanish rules, as mentioned in one review. While the game is mostly language-independent, it would have been great to have rules in Spanish. Overall, though, this is a fantastic addition to the Kingdomino family, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys the original or Queendomino.
