The Lost Expedition
The Lost Expedition review
The Lost Expedition is a game that's definitely not for the faint of heart. It throws you into the unforgiving Amazon jungle, where every decision matters and survival is far from guaranteed. I love the challenge of it. It's like a puzzle, trying to figure out how to manage your resources, make the right choices, and avoid the dangers that lurk around every corner.
The artwork is stunning, with a distinct Tintin-inspired style that really captures the feel of adventure. The cards are large, which is great for visibility but can be a bit cumbersome to shuffle. I've mostly played solo, but there's also a co-op mode and a head-to-head option.
One thing that really stands out is the difficulty. This isn't a game where you're guaranteed to win, and that adds a lot of tension and excitement. You'll need to make tough choices and sometimes face unavoidable losses. But when you finally manage to escape the jungle with all your explorers alive, it's a truly satisfying feeling.
If you enjoy challenging solo games with a bit of a puzzle element and a dash of luck, The Lost Expedition is definitely worth checking out. Just be prepared to face some serious jungle perils!
