Friday
Friday review
Friday is a solo deck-building game that's surprisingly engaging for its small size. The concept is simple: you're Friday, and you're trying to help Robinson Crusoe survive the island and escape the pirates. You do this by building a deck of fight cards to help Robinson overcome the various hazards of the island.
I found Friday to be very challenging, and it took me several tries to win even on the easiest difficulty level. However, this is what makes the game so rewarding. When you finally beat the pirates, you feel a real sense of accomplishment.
The game is well-designed and the mechanics are easy to learn. However, there is a lot of strategy involved, and you'll need to think carefully about which cards to play and which encounters to take on. I also enjoyed the fact that the game has a good amount of replay value, as the cards are shuffled randomly each time you play. You'll never have the same experience twice.
Overall, I highly recommend Friday to anyone who enjoys challenging solo games. It's a great way to spend an hour or two, and it's sure to keep you coming back for more.
