Dinosaur World
Dinosaur World review
Dinosaur World is a fun and engaging game that simulates running your own dinosaur park. It’s a lot of fun to draft workers, build attractions, and acquire DNA to create your own dinosaurs. I especially enjoy the jeep tours, which really bring the game to life. It’s a bit reminiscent of Suburbia, another favorite of mine, but with a much more thematic feel. The game does require a bit of strategy and planning, but it's a blast to design your own park.
I found the game to be very pretty and well-made, but it does have a lot of components. If you’re planning on playing with four people, you’ll need a large table. You can remove some of the boards if you have a smaller table, but it’s something to keep in mind.
One of the things I didn’t like was the boredom tokens. They’re a little frustrating to manage, but you can easily replace them with dice. I’ve also seen some reviews mentioning that the game doesn’t come with metal coins, which was a bit of a disappointment.
Overall, I think Dinosaur World is a great game, especially if you’re a fan of dinosaurs or worker placement games. Just be prepared for a bit of a learning curve and a lot of components.
