Catapult Feud
Catapult Feud review
Catapult Feud has quickly become a favorite in our house. It's a simple game to learn, but offers surprising depth and replayability. We've been playing with our 8 and 10-year-olds, and they absolutely love it. They've come up with their own strategies for building and defending their castles, which makes it even more fun.
The game is all about launching boulders from your catapult to try and knock down your opponent's troops and castle. It's a great way to let out some aggression and have some laughs. The catapults are easy to use, but require a little practice to get good at aiming. The kids have even learned some basic physics by experimenting with different launch angles and power.
The quality of the components is excellent. The catapults are sturdy, the bricks are well-made, and the miniatures are cute. We love the fact that it includes extra ammo and rubber bands in case we lose any pieces. The game box also has a great insert for organization. It’s worth noting that the game does take up quite a bit of space, but thankfully, it can be played entirely on the floor.
While we haven't played with the card deck yet, the kids are already having a blast just launching boulders at each other's castles. The game is so engaging that they can play by themselves, which is a welcome break for parents who need a little downtime.
The only downside is that the catapults can be a bit fragile. We've had one break, and we’ve read in other reviews that this is a common problem. It’s a shame because it’s such a great game. We’re hoping the company will address this issue in future releases.
Overall, Catapult Feud is a fantastic game for families with kids of all ages. It’s fun, engaging, and easy to learn. We highly recommend it.
