Galaxy Trucker (Second Edition)
Galaxy Trucker (Second Edition) review
Galaxy Trucker: Second Edition is a wild ride! It's one of those games that's easy to pick up and play, but has enough depth to keep you coming back for more. The core gameplay is simple: you and your fellow players frantically build a spaceship out of random components in a real-time frenzy, then launch it into space and face whatever dangers and opportunities come your way.
This second edition brings some improvements over the original, with new artwork, streamlined gameplay, and a more compact design. The new art is definitely an upgrade in my opinion, and the game is a lot more approachable than its predecessor. The ship boards are now fold-out, which makes set-up a breeze.
I did have a couple of minor nitpicks, though. The ziplock bags that come with the game are a bit flimsy, and the money tiles are still awkwardly shaped. I'm not sure why they haven't switched to something more manageable, but it's not a deal breaker.
Overall, I can't recommend Galaxy Trucker enough. It's a ton of fun, and it's sure to bring laughter and chaos to any game night. Just be sure to keep an eye on those ziplock bags!
