5-Minute Mystery
5-Minute Mystery review
5-Minute Mystery is a fun and engaging game that my family and I have been enjoying. The concept is simple: you work together as a team of detectives to solve a mystery by finding clues and identifying the culprit. Each round presents a new challenge as the cases change, so it never gets old. I'm particularly fond of the Codex, a unique device players use to note their findings. It's a great way to keep track of the symbols you've discovered and the clues you've unlocked.
The game is quick and easy to learn, making it perfect for a casual game night with friends or family. It's also a great game for kids, although younger players might need some help with the symbols and clues. My kids (ages 6 and 4) enjoy playing with me, but we have to skip the timer for them.
However, I do have a few minor criticisms. The game's card stock is a bit thin and flimsy and the artwork is not particularly exciting. Also, some of the symbols can be difficult to distinguish from each other.
Despite these small drawbacks, 5-Minute Mystery is a solid game that I would recommend to anyone looking for a fun and engaging cooperative experience. I would definitely recommend this game for family game night, especially for a younger crowd.
