King of Monster Island review

I've been a fan of the King of Tokyo series for a while now, so I was excited to try out King of Monster Island, the cooperative version of the game. It's a bit of a departure from the classic King of Tokyo experience, but in a good way! The premise is that you're playing as giant monsters who must work together to defeat a titan-like boss before it finishes building an interdimensional portal.

The gameplay is similar to King of Tokyo, with dice rolling and card buying, but with a few key differences. You're working together to defeat a common enemy, and there's a lot more strategy involved in planning your moves and coordinating with your fellow players.

It can take a few rounds to get the hang of the rules, but once you do, it's a lot of fun. I've played with both adults and kids, and everyone seems to enjoy it. The game is well-balanced, and the different boss monsters keep things fresh.

I especially enjoyed the ability to choose any of the King of Tokyo monsters to play as. My family and I love playing with Pumpkin Jack, MegaShark, and Gigazaur! We haven't tried using the power-up cards yet, but they seem like a great addition to the game.

Overall, I highly recommend King of Monster Island to anyone who enjoys cooperative games or who is a fan of the King of Tokyo series. It's a fun, challenging, and engaging game that's sure to provide hours of entertainment.
