Bloodborne: The Card Game review

I’m a huge fan of the Bloodborne video game, so when I saw that there was a card game available, I knew I had to get it. I’m so glad I did! This game is a ton of fun to play with a group. It really captures the feeling of fighting beasts tooth and nail just to survive.

The game is surprisingly deep. There are plenty of strategic decisions to make, like choosing which weapon to use, when to retreat to the Hunter’s Dream, and how to balance helping your friends while still trying to win. I also love the “take that” elements, like the ability to deal damage to your fellow hunters. It’s very much in line with Bloodborne’s themes of cooperation and competition.

The only downside to this game is that it can feel a bit repetitive after a while. The deck of monsters is relatively small, and the upgrade deck can get a little stale after a few plays. But this is something that could easily be solved with an expansion. I hope that CMON Games will release one soon!

Overall, I highly recommend Bloodborne: The Card Game. It's a fast-paced, fun, and addictive game that’s sure to please fans of the Bloodborne video game, as well as card game enthusiasts.
