Tyrants of the Underdark

I've been wanting to try Tyrants of the Underdark for a while now, and finally took the plunge with this second printing. I was immediately impressed by the value - it includes all the expansion decks, making it a much better deal than buying the original game and expansions separately. I also appreciate that it comes in a smaller box, making it easier to store.

The game itself is fantastic! It seamlessly blends deck building with territory control, and the Drow theme is a nice touch. I particularly enjoy the variety of strategies available, thanks to the different aspects of Drow society represented in the cards. The game is also fairly fast-paced, making it perfect for a quick session.

Some reviewers have expressed disappointment over the cardboard tokens replacing the original plastic figures. While I can see why some might find this a downgrade, it hasn't affected my enjoyment of the game. However, I do wish the card stock was a bit sturdier, as it feels somewhat flimsy.

Overall, Tyrants of the Underdark is a highly recommended game for any fan of deck building or territory control games. It's engaging, strategic, and offers a ton of replayability. If you're a fan of D&D, you'll appreciate the nods to the Underdark and Drow lore.
