51st State: Master Set review

I've been enjoying 51st State: Master Set quite a bit. It's a great post-apocalyptic card game that really captures the theme of rebuilding after a collapse. The artwork is fantastic, and the game itself is a lot of fun. It's a bit of a brain-burner to figure out what you can do with your resources each turn, but it's satisfying to build up your faction and see your empire grow.

One of my favorite things about 51st State is that it's a great game for solo play. I find the solo mode is a challenge, and it's a great way to get practice in before playing with others. The game is also very flexible, with two expansions included in the box. I've been playing with the "Winter" expansion, and it adds a lot of interesting new elements to the game.

It's not without some flaws, though. The rulebook could use some work, and I wish the cardboard tokens had been upgraded to wood like the resource tokens. But these are minor nitpicks. Overall, I really enjoy this game, and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes strategic card games with a good post-apocalyptic theme.
