Res Arcana has quickly become a favorite in our gaming group. It's a captivating engine builder that's surprisingly quick to learn, even though it has a lot of depth. The hardest part is initially getting familiar with the symbols, but the game provides a handy reference. I particularly love the drafting element, which adds a strategic layer to the game.

The game has a lot of replayability, with different paths to victory and unique combinations to explore. I've found it incredibly fun to play even after multiple playthroughs. The components are top-notch, with beautiful artwork and high-quality materials.

I have to agree with some of the other reviewers about the lack of a larger card pool. While the game is fun, I can see how it could become somewhat scripted after a while. An expansion would definitely help with that. Overall, Res Arcana is a fantastic game that I highly recommend to any engine-building enthusiast.
