Agricola: All Creatures Big and Small review

Agricola: All Creatures Big and Small is a fantastic two-player game that focuses solely on the animal husbandry aspect of the original Agricola. This means no more worrying about plowing fields and growing vegetables – it's all about building pastures, acquiring animals, and maximizing your farm's potential.

The game is easy to learn and plays fairly quickly, usually within an hour or less. The simple mechanics and engaging gameplay make it perfect for introducing someone to the world of Agricola. I especially love the fact that each game is different thanks to the various special buildings that can be incorporated into play. You can even expand the playing board as you acquire more animals and infrastructure.

While I appreciate the simplicity of this version, it's not quite as deep as the original Agricola. But, I find it to be a welcome change of pace. I love the emphasis on animal husbandry and the satisfaction of building a successful farm. The game's components are also top-notch – the wooden animal pieces are adorable and add a nice tactile element to the gameplay.

If you're looking for a fun and engaging two-player game with a quick playing time, I highly recommend Agricola: All Creatures Big and Small. It's a perfect choice for a casual game night with a significant other or close friend. And who knows, maybe it will even spark your interest in the original Agricola, just like it did for me!
